Tires

Check the tire pressure at least once a week, and examine each tire carefully, looking for excessive or uneven tread wear. If the tires need to be replaced, make sure you choose the correct size and load rating for your UTV.

Fluids

Most UTVs feature a gas engine, so you will need to check and change the oil regularly. The user manual provided with your UTV will indicate which oil to use, and how often to change it. You should also check the coolant and brake fluid levels periodically and refill them as needed.

Filters

UTVs have air and fuel filters that should be inspected and replaced as necessary. If the air filter is clogged, it can cause the engine to run less efficiently and increase fuel consumption. The same is true for a dirty fuel filter. Refer to your user manual for detailed instructions on how to change the filters.

Driveline

Last but not least, make sure to regularly check the driveline components, including the clutch and belt, for wear or damage. Even if your engine is in good shape, a worn or damaged driveline component can cause performance issues. If you suspect there is a problem with the driveline, you should consult a technician.
